Sainsburys Bank Say Buildings Insurance Vital As Storms Hit UK
Published: 25/09/08
News from Sainsburys Bank that almost 2 million homeowners have no buildings insurance in place may come as a shock to some, but not as big a shock as the bill these people may face if the storms that are ravaging the country damage their property.
It does not appear to be a cost issue that leaves these people without the necessary protection in place for their properties. Instead it seems that they feel it is not needed; an unnecessary item. Of course this is far from the truth since properties can be damaged at any time and there is no determining which properties are safe and which are not. The costs can also be extreme advise Sainsburys Bank, certainly more than most people have put away.
When Sainsburys Bank looked at the age ranges of those without insurance they found that it was the older and younger brackets that led the way, with 8 percent of both 25 to 34 year olds and over 65s not having buildings insurance.
