Norwich Union Home Contents Insurance Should Be Valued More
Published: 02/09/08
The view of the Norwich Union is that UK consumers fail to appreciate the real value of home contents insurance, basically feeling that it will not happen to them.
It is interesting how the two different types of home insurance are dealt with. Buildings insurance is needed in order to get a mortgage, so everyone has it, but contents insurance is down to the individual and is not a pre-requisite for anything. It is this that leaves it out in the cold for so many people says the Norwich Union spokesperson.
Around a quarter of consumers do not have contents insurance, and it is this large percentage that Norwich Union are hoping to make aware of the potential pitfalls and get them to protect their property and personal possessions.
