Nintendo Wii Owners Should Check Their Contents Insurance Say Halifax

One of the most wanted gifts this Christmas, the Nintendo Wii games console, could cause heartache for some people say Halifax.
Using a wireless remote that senses movement the Nintendo Wii is an innovative system but users are advised to hold on to the remote firmly to avoid it crashing into the television screen and causing serious damage. As a Halifax spokesman pointed out, the demand for expensive flat panel televisions, be they plasma or LCD, could leave some people out of pocket if they are not careful. Playing the Wii without adequate contents insurance is a dangerous game said the Halifax representative, but even with insurance those with expensive televisions should make sure they are noted individually on their policy. Without this they may only get a percentage of the value back as there is a cap on the value of any item that is not individually noted.
So prior to plugging in the Wii just check the contents insurance policy first, and if the TV is valuable make sure it is insured as an individual item. Halifax and other insurers all operate a similar system, so it is quite easy to insure individual items this way.
