Nationwide Building Society Say Buildings Insurance Essential

Published: 09/08/08

Sound advice comes from the Nationwide Building Society as they tell homeowners that buildings insurance is essential in order to ensure their homes are protected against all that it has to deal with.

The advice has been given following a Nationwide Building Society survey that found around 20 percent of homeowners did not have any buildings cover home insurance. Considering the value of property today this is surely a gamble not worth taking thought a Nationwide spokesperson. She thought that maybe these people had not taken buildings insurance because it was too complicated, though in reality it is relatively straightforward, it just needs someone to explain some of the terminology.

The Nationwide Building Society spokesperson also discussed the recent bad weather, floods and so on, hoping that this would spur people into action but also making it very clear that things can happen to buildings at any time, so getting adequate buildings insurance is a very sensible precaution to take.
