Halifax Finds Nation Of Musicians
Published: 03/09/08
According to a recent study by the Halifax the UK is a hotbed of musical talent, or at least potential musical talent.
The Halifax study found that almost 8 million UK homes have in them one or more musical instruments, whilst a little under 10 million people are actively using them. The rise of the bedroom artiste is such that many homes also have recording equipment in them, the average value being over GBP500.
As a Halifax spokesman pointed out, with such a fantastic array of musical equipment in so many homes it is so important that they are well insured. Although such equipment is now more affordable than it has ever been it is still hard to replace without insurance in place. For more valuable items, over GBP1,500, naming them individually on the policy is the best course of action, thus protecting their value fully.
